It has been said for many generations that the youth of today are the future of tomorrow. We at RCSWMA believe this to be an incontrovertible truth. We also believe that education of today’s youth will be the saving of our planet tomorrow. That being said, we have developed many education programs that help teachers (public, private, and individuals) educate today’s youth to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in as many positive ways we can find.
Our staff provides at least two Teacher Workshops each year, along with providing Teacher Boxes and our Resource Library.
We offer tours through the Transfer Station and the Landfill.
Every year Richland Recycles sponsors a Poster Contest for the students of Richland County. Twelve of the posters are chosen as the “Top” Posters and are placed in the Solid Waste Calendar. The students are recognized for their artistic ability – as well as the message that their poster sends.
We participate in educational booths at area fairs and events to help educate both the young and old.
You are never too young – you are never too old – to learn the three R’s of saving our planet!
REDUCE ~ REUSE ~ RECYCLE
